Hey everybody today is day 1 of my start to p90x. This morning didn't go very well since I woke up too late. I initially wanted to start my workouts in the morning but after today I've realized that I might have a very difficult time waking up early and not pressing the snooze button, so my officially workout time will be some time in the evening. Perhaps around 5 or 6 o'clock since all my classes are over by then and by that time I will have gotten home. It also allows for me to have plenty of time for homework and dinner.
So other than that, I just got out f class and I am going to go grocery shopping. I've already done this workout 3 times so I know basically what to buy and where is the best place to get the cheapest foods.
I will post a list of my grocery list for you all and my eating schedule. It is important to have about 5-6 small meals a day so that your body doesn't begin to crave unhealthy foods. This tactic does work or me because I realize that when I am extremely hungry I eat whatever is insight and I don't want to over eat so keeping my stomach moderately stable is a plus.
I will try my best to keep my grocery shopping to about $200 a month which honestly is hard for me because I tend to fear that I will run out of food so I buy enough to please my eyes, but because I am a college student and need to keep as much money in my pocket as possible I will try to buy just enough food for each week. Because the grocery stores are far from where I live it is going to be a little difficult to keep from over buying.
Also, I have a Vitamix, and it is basically a very good blender that can be used to make soups, low fat desserts like frozen yogurt and healthy smoothies. This is my life saver machine and unfortunately I do not have it with me at the time, it's in another state with my family so when I get it shipped back to me I will start using it to make my smoothies and soups.
So, I am excited to start today I will most likely do my workout and then each dinner. I will try to list the foods I drink and ate everyday but I might not be able to get everything as accurate as I would like in the beginning because I really don't have all the tools I need for that, but I am looking at basically trying to get in a lot of protein into my diet so chicken and fish are on my list of must haves. Chicken probably 4 or 5 times a week and fish at least 1. I am definitely not big on eating fish but I'm going to try my best to make it taste good enough to eat every week.
Lastly, I am not going to be doing any supplement this first couple weeks because all of my supplements are with my family so I might have them ship them to me. I really love those supplements, I have 2 of the recovery drink and about half a bag of shakeology left. If there was one supplement that I would highly recommend, it would without a doubt be shakeolgy. It does have a bit of a funky taste but nonetheless tolerable. I hope everyone has a good first day of starting and I will list my grocery list and possibly meal ideas in my next blog. I will probably put that up tonite after my workout and I'll just explain how the workout went.
PS: I have not put up my before shots yet. Honestly, they are very personal and it will definitely have to take a lot of me to post them but I think it will help me out by reminding me of what I'm striving to change as well as letting myself remember where I never want to go back to. So, plan on me uploading those in the next blog. You may end up seeing it as my profile picture and in that case it is because I am really trying to motivate myself, because honestly you guys, its hard looking at my body and seeing what I know should not be there and feeling bad about how I'm judging myself and wondering what other people are thinking if those are my thoughts so, this is a very personal thing. I'm crossing my fingers and starting after I press this post button a change is coming.
Love you all <3 <3 <3
